Background

Safety Day is a major highlight in the PDO calendar when over 35,000 PDO staff and contractors are expected to unite behind a common theme. For 2010, the theme is Do the Right Thing in Managing Fatigue and the campaign launches on June 8th . Are you ready to join us and make a pledge to fatigue management?

Aim

Do the Right Thing in Managing Fatigue.

Objectives

By the end of the Safety Day discussions sessions, participant should:

  • learnings from previous Safety Days
  • understand the importance of having the capability (knowledge, skills and experience) to do the right thing with respect to the managing fatigue.
  • feel empowered to do the right thing in terms of compliance and respectful intervention with respect to the managing fatigue

- Prepare and implement engagement structure to cover all shifts and contractor staff within own
  directorate.
