The Focal Point’s Role in STOP |

STOP™ focal points play a major role in the success of implementing STOP™
program.
Roles and Responsibilities of the BS Contractor Focal Point:
The position in the STOP™ Governance Structure that has overall responsibility
for the implementation, application and administration of STOP™ for a Contractor
in PDO. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate scheduled detailed STOP ™ observations
- Enter Leaders names into the excel sheet
- Monitor Compliance
- Report monthly compliance
- Transfer STOP™ data from STOP™ cards to the excel sheet for leaders
- Produce reports & charts and recommend actions from the data
- Provide report of corrective actions status for discussion at safety meetings
- Distribute a report of unclosed actions to observers and their line managers
- Audit STOP™ implementation and compliance to procedures
The Role and Responsibility of the PDO BS Focal Point
The position in the STOP™ Governance Structure who has overall responsibility
for the implementation, application and administration of STOP™ in an area in
PDO. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate scheduled STOP™ observations
- Enter Leaders names into the PDO Database
- Monitor Compliance

Report monthly compliance

Transfer STOP™ data from STOP™ cards to the database for leaders (JG1 and
above)

Produce reports & charts and recommend actions from the analysis

Maintain and update the STOP™ database in his Area

Advise new users in the use of the database

Provide a summary report of corrective actions status for discussion at safety
meetings

Distribute a report of unclosed actions to observers and their line managers

Audit STOP™ implementation and compliance to procedures
