How Does STOP for
Employees Work? |
STOP training proceeds one
step at a time, with each step building on the previous ones until all steps are
completed. STOP uses a combination of self-study workbooks, on-the-job
activities, Group Discussions, and videotapes to build safety awareness. By the
end of the program, employees will be looking at safety in a different way.
Here
is how STOP components work.
Administrator's and leader's Guide
This guide includes all
instructions needed for administering and leading the STOP for Employees
program.
Self-Study
Workbooks
These workbooks are
distributed by the STOP Administrator to each program leader. Then program
leaders give employees the workbooks at the Kick-Off Meeting. Ideally, workbooks
should be completed independently, with time allowed during working hours. Review
Activities
Individual Review
Activities conducted by STOP program leaders allow you to customise STOP to your
site and to each participant's job. This guide contains instructions for
conducting Review Activity meetings.
Group Discussion Meetings with Videotapes
Group meetings centre on
discussions about STOP concepts and how they apply to your employees and your
site. Each Group Discussion meeting includes a videotape presentation to
reinforce the information in the self-study workbooks. This guide contains
complete instructions for leading these meetings.
