Oil from fields all over Oman is fed into the main oil line, which takes it out of the interior, over the mountains and down to the coast at Mina al-Fahal near Muscat. Here it is stored for a short time in tanks, the last little bit of water is removed, and then it is loaded onto waiting tankers to be taken off to Oman’s customers. PDO operates the terminal at Mina al-Fahal on behalf of the Omani Government.

To do this, click on the hyperlink with the right-hand mouse button (if using a PC) or press the Control key at the same time as you click (if using an Apple Macintosh). Users of the Netscape Communicator browser should then select the “Save Link As” option, whereas users of Internet Explorer should select the “Save Target As” option. A dialogue box will then ask you to select the directory on your hard drive where you want the PDF file to be saved.
