Upgrade of “Remote Access Service”
“This message is intended for users of the PDO Remote Access Service”.
In line with our continuous efforts to improve IT services, the IM&T department is planning to upgrade the Remote Access Service used for accessing PDO desktop and applications from home and outside offices. The new solution is more secure and will enhance the performance, and improve the accessibility of information.
The service will be offered seamlessly to all existing users effective 5th October 2011.
The new service comes with three different scenarios:
vMobile Office Private (MOP) for PDO Staff & Contractors using private Desktop/Laptop.
vMobile Office Business (MOB) for PDO Employees using PDO Desktop/Laptop.
vMobile Office Vendor (MOV) for Vendors using private Desktop/Laptop.
Important note to PDO laptop users: Please note that before starting using SSL VPN for the first time, PDO laptops MUST be connected to the PDO office network in order to install the Cisco AnyConnect client software.

Current service will be available in parallel with new service till the end of December 2011. However, users are encouraged to start using the new service immediately.
