The Public Knowledge Library was established by PDO in 1990 as a Gift to the Nation on the occasion of the 20th National Day. It was inaugurated at a special ceremony on the 13th of November, 1990. The Library was built to provide a publicly available resource for technical education and research.

The library was initially named “The Public Technical Library” and its content was limited to technical literature such as mathematics, chemistry and physics.

However, it has since been renamed “The Public Knowledge Library” and its titles now include other disciplines such as management, economics, and linguistics as well as items of general interest. In addition, the library also includes a video library, journals, and a collection of thesis, encyclopaedias and dictionaries.
 

The “Public Knowledge Library” was handed over in 1996 to the Diwan of Royal Court who now manages the facility, for more details please visit the Library’s website at:
