To fully realize the benefits and opportunities for the company , it requires a shift in mindset, skillset and processes to support PDO in achieving its purpose. The PDO Change and Continuous Improvement program utilises various methodologies to enable all teams to achieve PDO’s goals such as; Lean, Six-Sigma, Agile, Goal deployment and Change Management.
Change and Continuous Improvement (CCI)

Since 2009 PDO has been building and developing a pool of CI expertise to become a leading organization in this space. The CI community provides world-class expertise (Lean, Six-Sigma, Agile etc) to build improvement and change capability and confidence in all our teams and leaders. The community supports all Directorates and Assets within PDO as well as selected Government and Private sector entities in Oman. CCI also works on aligning the organization to improvement priorities and rapidly adapt when new priorities emerge. The journey starts with idea generation, and each year the CCI community identifies 8000 – 9000 new improvement ideas, certifies around 150 CI practitioners and completes over 300 project per year. To maximize value through CI in the businesses, there are many components that support such as Change Management, Agile and Goal Deployment.


PDO has won numerous awards in this area such as receiving the Gold award- Dubai UAE innovation Awards ceremony, as well as being accredited as the Center of Excellence for Change Management by the Omani ministry of Labor. Our strong CI vehicle and corporate change management community's primary objective is value generation and enabling ​PDO and selected partners to unlock and generate sustainable value.
