COVID-19 Return To Office Transition Team Launched
As PDO continues to develop its response to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, I am pleased to announce that we are forming a COVID-19 Work Transition Team comprising of senior representatives from across the Company. With COVID-19 unfortunately set to be a prevailing reality for some time to come, the team will focus on putting in place a road map and developing detailed plans for transitioning PDO slowly back to the office and more general working environments.
The principle and overriding focus will continue to be the health and safety of our employees and contractor staff combined with effective business continuity planning. There will be a close examination of all aspects of our office working environment to see what is required from a social distancing and hygiene perspective to ensure that we can keep our people safe at all times.
We will only start to return people to the office if the Supreme Committee and PDO’s COVID-19 Response Committee deems that it is safe to do so. The return to work will be managed gradually and in phases, incorporating best practices from around the world and with the process regularly reviewed. The reality is that many of the Coastal based staff will continue to work from home for many more months and we will continue to explore the benefits of Maktabi home working, incorporating the positive experiences for many from recent months.
UOD Khamis Al Busaidi will chair a Transitioning Sub-Committee that will meet twice weekly and report into the PDO COVID-19 Response Committee. The Transition Team is similarly structured to the main committee with senior representatives from Medical, HR, HSE, Real Estate, IT, Security, Engineering, Operations, Well Engineering, Finance and External Affairs/Corporate Communications.
As with the ongoing PDO COVID-19 communications, The team will continue keeping you regularly updated on the progress and how it impacts you.
Khamis Al Saadi
Asset Director and Chairman of the COVID-19 Response Committee
