Rig Tongs - Finger Injury
7¿ casing was being run using power tong. A casing joint needed to be backed-out. Manual rig tong was being used as a back-up to prevent 7¿ coupling turning. When removing the manual tong, finger was trapped in hinge (pinch-point) of tong. Man¿s finger was fractured
When using tongs, keep your hands on the handles, never anywhere else
Employee did not follow procedures.
