During trenching for the new 48" Gas Export Line. The trencher cut off the 33 KV power live cable. No injury to personnel or equipment damage.
All buried utilities needs to be detected by suitable means prior start of excavation/grading activities.
Evaluate alternative communication means to ensure full coverage along the ROW include identified black spots.
Set up project emergency response team.
Cable not detected before trenching operations.
Route markers providing misleading information.
