Work Stoppage April 2015
Colleagues, To date we have suffered 3 High Potential incidents related to cold-cutting activity in a space of two months. This is not acceptable and now is not the time for complacency, therefore we need to hold work stoppage sessions within “one week” throughout the operation areas so we reflect on the incidents and learn from them. In 1993 we had a multiple fatality in Natih N64 when the crew cold-cut a live line. A similar incident happened in Anzuz 11 in 2004, luckily there were no injuries but the potential was high. Corporate HSE have prepared a package that you can use for the work stoppage, please feel free to localize the package to suit the audience. Remember Raoul’s statement in the 2015 Corporate HSE Plan Quote “we need and must improve our HSE performance in 2015 as a result of key learnings and new ways of working that we have embedded into our 2015 HSE Plan.” unquote If you need any assistance from Corporate HSE on the work stoppage, please do not hesitate to flag it. Please use the attached package. Mohamed Al Salmani
