2024 Second Alert HiPo#35B Collison with 3rd party while turning in a junction
On 13th October 2024, at around 08:11 hrs., an Al-Tasnim hired tipper truck was taking a left turn at the Amal T Junction towards Amal. A 3rd party private vehicle traveling towards Nimr collided with the tipper's right rear tire. The collision resulted in minor injuries to three out of five passengers in the private vehicle. All five occupants of the vehicle were taken to the PDO clinic in Amal for first aid. Subsequently, the three injured individuals were transferred to Shalem for more detailed medical evaluation and treatment.
Always stop, do the shoulder check and then proceed before entering into T-junctions Always reduce speed while heading to T-junctions. Always make sure the road is clear before crossing the T junction. Always follow defensive driving techniques while on road.
The tipper driver did not see the private vehicle which is coming from its opposite direction Indicator was not working, and the private vehicle driver not get any information of turn Tipper driver not stopped in T junction when a private car approaching from opposite direction. Tipper driver aware about the LFI recommendations but LFI recommendations were not implemented due to haste.
