Background:
The Life Saving Rules were launched in 2009 and they have become one of the world's most successful Oil and Gas safety campaigns. The Life Saving Rules are a very simple set of rules, easy to understand and without a lot of wordings. In 2009 every employee was trained and they declared their understanding of the Life Saving Rules and the consequences of not following them. In the 2011 Safety Day Celebrations we reinforced everyone's understanding of the importance of the Life Saving Rules.
Objective:
Several years on after the launch we have seen a erosion in the awareness of the Life Saving Rules and with an ever increasing staff turnover in the PDO community, there is a need to re-energise the rules to attempt to reverse our increasing incidents and injury rates.
The campaign will improve a person's understanding of the Life Saving Rules and how they affect day to day operations whilst encouraging compliance, incident reporting and conducting peer-to-peer coaching. The campaign aims to reinforce the message across to PDO & Contractors staff to always comply with the Life Saving Rules.
